My Journey So Far and What Drives Me
My name is Aoshima, and I assumed the position of President of Entetsu Vietnam in April 2026. Starting today, I’ll be launching the “President’s Blog,” where I’ll share the realities and challenges of life here in my own words.
These past three months have marked my first overseas assignment. I’ve been giving it my all—from adjusting to life in Hanoi, to interacting with the local Japanese community, and above all, building relationships of trust with our passionate employees who are driving our company’s growth.
As I am inspired daily by the city of Hanoi and my team members, I want to “put into words” my actions and reflections to date and use them as a yardstick for my own progress and growth. With this in mind, and keeping the motto “Consistency is power” close to my heart, I have decided to launch this blog.
I hope that our stakeholders, everyone at the Entetsu Group, and anyone interested in our company will find this blog enjoyable.
👤 Self-Introduction: My Journey So Far and What Drives Me
Since this is my first post, I’d like to start by sharing my background so you can get to know me better.
My Career to Date (Joined Enshu Railway in 2007 – Present) Over the past 19 years, I have gained experience primarily in the following three areas:
🚌 Route Bus Operations (Approx. 8 years total)
I was involved in the planning and operation of “Nice Pass,” the IC card used for Enshu Railway’s trains and buses.
💻 Secondment to Enshu Railway System Service Co., Ltd. (Approx. 6 years total *Most recent assignment*)
I led the planning and operation of ICT services under the “GIGA School Initiative” for school education.

👥 Human Resources Department (Total: Approximately 5 years)
Oversaw all aspects related to the organization’s “people,” including recruitment, policy development, employee training, and HR and payroll management.
🚀 Taking a step forward with digital innovation. Shaping the future of the region and the Entetsu Group
The core of my career has been “pursuing the effective use of ICT to create systems that bring happiness to both our customers and our workplace.” My experience—pouring my passion into operating IC cards that deliver tangible convenience and driving the digitization of schools—is what drives me today.
This experience and passion are directly linked to the words in the Entetsu Vietnam CEO’s Message: “Taking a Step Forward with Digital Technology: Shaping the Future of the Region and the Entetsu Group.”
How will I embody this message here in Hanoi? In future posts, I’ll share a wide range of insights and reflections based on my daily experiences.
That concludes this first installment. I look forward to your continued support!
